This season, ladies and gents is the season to break the silence. For some of you, you have buried some ugly truths and swept them under the carpet, in the hope that they never resurface again. Others of you have taken that brave step to speak out, but it has fallen on death ears. For some of you, you have held onto problems passed to you, but have not passed them on, now is the time to take them in prayer and to discern who you should tell. Some of you need to be ready to receive exposed truths. I feel that now is the season to act and you will be heard. You are not alone in this and when one individual speaks out , then another follows suit. Whether you believe it or not, the Holy Spirit is revealing the deep, dark desires of the heart and is exposing secrets in enormous waves across the globe. ‘For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account’ (Hebrews 4:12-13).
Are you going to be part of this movement ? Are you going through some inner toil ? Are you feeling like you cannot speak out? The Holy Spirit is urging you to break the silence. You must act now. This is your time. This is a movement that will not be stopped, it can’t be ignored, because many of you have been affected. There is pain, humiliation, and turmoil that is brimming over into all areas of society. Where there is enormous change, this is where the Spirit is. This Holy Spirit momentum will sweep into areas that have not be spoken about for many years. The waves are speaking strongly.
Together, united, as one movement, we can change things and will change things. This movement will leave no nook or cranny untouched. A tidal surge is coming to those who have suppressed the small voices. Justice and freedom will be coming to the UK. Below is an encouraging verse of ‘Dear Lord and Father of Mankind’ (1884) written by American Quaker poet John Greenleaf Whittier. The still and calm voice can speak volumes to others; it does not need to loud and bolshie. Think of the schoolteacher that only spoke when a ‘pin drop’ could be heard.
Breathe through the heats of our desire
Thy coolness and thy balm;
Let sense be dumb, let flesh retire;
Speak through the earthquake, wind and fire,
O still small voice of calm!
